Paramount has released a sneak peek of (Mickey Rourke) as Whiplash, and he’s geared up to wreck havoc for Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.)  in Iron Man 2.

Whiplash looks similiar to Iron Man because they both sport a partial exoskeleton with a power pack on the chest.

Director Jon Favreau said Mickey’s character’s alter ego, Ivan Vanko, is a Russian who “has constructed his own version of a suit.” He also wields a pair of whips, which are powered by his exoskeleton and should make him a formidable foe for the armored superhero.

Whiplash, along with The Black Widow, played by the sultry (Scarlett Johansson), will take on Iron Man in the eagerly anticipated sequel, due in theaters May 7, 2010.

The American Gladiators TV franchise is moving to the big screen, Variety has learned.
The popular NBC program, which pits amateur athletes against themselves and the show’s own “gladiators” in a show strength, agility and endurance contests, has been adapted in fourteen countries since its introduction in 1991.

Forbes just released the annual list of the 100 most powerful celebrities in the world, with Angelina Jolie taking the crown. Last year’s winner Oprah Winfrey is number two with Madonna and Beyonce Knowles at three and four. The rest of the top 10 are featured below. Do you agree with the top 10?
